Dear Friends,

This Sunday we will welcome Rebecca Sherbino and Elena Haskell from the The Raw Carrot ministry. GPC has been partnering with the Raw Carrot for several years now and we are so glad to be participants in this ministry. One of the staff members Amanda will also come and share her own story of how the Raw Carrot has transformed her life.

We are also welcoming new members into our Glenbrook fellowship during our worship service. Ian and Susan Leaper, Samuel Sinanan, Shaina Henry, Silas Muteru, Grace Thomas and George Spear will affirm their public profession of faith in Christ and their continued participation in our church family. We give thanks to God and bless these new members in the name of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our GPC Session met this past week and it was decided that we would ask the Presbytery of Brampton to appoint an Interim Minister for 2 years.  In light of my retirement (July 1st) it was prayerfully considered that an Interim Minister would be the best way forward for the congregation. The Interim Minister will give the congregation a consistent Sunday morning presence and also pastoral care. The Session will work with the Presbytery on this request for an Interim Minister and who this person might be. We will continue to pray that God will leads us through this transition as we give thanks for God’s continuing provision of good leadership.

I want to extend our thoughts and prayers to Blaine and Diane C. with the passing of Marlene Lisinski. (Sister to Diane) The service is a private family service at Smith’s Funeral Home Burlington on Saturday March 22nd at 10 am.  There will be livestream available. Marlene was a participant at GPC for several years attending worship, Tuesday morning bible study and other church events. She was also a regular viewer on the livestream during Covid. In recent years she did her best to manage various health concerns until her passing last Sunday. Marlene had a warm personality and we commend her into the embrace of the heavenly Father.

Have a great day

Blessings

Pastor Ian.
