The Open Door
Once a month, we cook, deliver and serve a hot lunch at the Open Door.
The Open Door is a Christian drop-in center inside Square One.
Many churches came together to create the Open Door in 1974 as an outreach ministry to the community of Mississauga.
Staff work with volunteers from the community and many Mississauga churches to improve the life situation of people who are going through difficult times.
Clothing and toiletry items are always in need and can be dropped off at the church.
The aim is to join The Open Door staff and spread the love of Christ as we serve and connect with people in need.
Every September, we have a grocery store gift card drive to support Open Door families as they enter the fall season and their children start school
In December, we have another gift card drive to celebrate God entering our broken world as a baby born in Bethlehem.
