How do I Become a Christian?

How do I become a Follower of Jesus Christ?

We say a prayer to God and ask him to make us a Christian. A prayer is like an email. Below is a template which you can say (silently or out loud) as a prayer to God.

Dear God,

I believe you are real and that you care about me. I am sorry I have lived my life as if you did not exist and as if you did not matter. I have done many things in my life which I regret. When I think of those things, I feel great shame and pain. Oh God, please forgive me.

Thank you for sending Jesus to show us how to live. Thank you for sending the Holy Spirit to guide and comfort us.

Lord Jesus, friend and brother, please come and live in my heart, my head, my life. Holy Spirit, welcome and help me be a better person.
