Hello Glenbrook,

What a fantastic, short week this has been.

I would LOVE to show you pictures from my canoe trip last weekend, but they were all taken on Mike's phone which took an unfortunate dip in the lake and we could not turn it back on after that.

We were canoeing out to find some firewood, and Mike was chopping some wood on the shoreline.

He says that I was overcompensating for the axe moving and tipped the canoe. I say he was FLAILING his axe around like a madman and tipped us over!

Regardless, it was a nice cold swim and definitely woke us up ha ha.

Our friends brought their beautiful golden doodle camping with us, so it was quite an adventure following the pup around hiking trails and rivers and waterfalls.

Overall a fantastic weekend.

There was not a drop of rain, and the sun was out during the day, followed by a sky full of stars at night.

The ONLY downside to having such great weather, is it is difficult to dress for both hot sun and lots of swarming black flies. My legs are just covered with bites and swelling ugh.

I will get you pictures next week when our friend sends them to me from his camera!!

Another awesome occasion this week is I will be convocating at Knox College's 180th Convocation on Saturday the 25th!! It has been a long time coming, and I am looking forward to celebrating this milestone. I could sadly only invite 5 people, as we are holding the ceremony in the small chapel. But if you have nothing to do at 2:00pm, feel free to check out the livestream of the ceremony here:
