Dear Friends,

Last Sunday was our Outdoor Service and thank you to everyone who came and helped set up and who participated in some fashion. It was also a service that used some duct tape and paper clips to hold everything in place because of the windy conditions. Perhaps not a bad way to have a worship service on Canada Day weekend! This week I want to thank Samantha who will preach and lead us in the Word. I have two weddings this weekend to officiate and participate. We want to congratulate the Naranjo-Sancherz family on the marriage of Meri and Sebastian. Also, we want congratulate the Kusi-Agyemang on the marriage of Mavis and Jason.

Next Sunday I will continue our series on The Beatitudes of Jesus by exploring the 5th Beatitude, “Blessed are the merciful for they will receive mercy.”

Christianity Explored is a course that I would like to offer on Wednesday evenings @ 7 pm over July and August. It is a course that explores the basic beliefs of the Christian faith. Who is Jesus? What are the basic doctrines of Christianity? What is a Christian? and much more. If you are interested please contact the office and I will be glad to welcome you to “Christianity Explored.”  This will begin on July 17th.

Our new church road sign (Burnhamthorpe Rd) is still waiting permit approval from the City of Mississauga. We were to meet today (June 28th) with LED Lighting Solutions who are supplying and installing the new sign, however this meeting and installation date has been postponed until further notice.

Have a lovely weekend

Pastor Ian
