Hello All,
This has been another crazy week! Pastor Ian and Gwenna got off safely, and started the long road trip out East. Let's continue to pray that the trip goes safely, and that they will have time to rest, have fun, and enjoy their time away. In the meantime, we are delighted to have Dr. Victor Shepherd return and preach on the word gospel and a deeper meaning of what this truth of salvation looks like.
Over the last week, I had a wonderful time going to the Royal Botanical Gardens for their Mums/Dahlia Show. It felt like we were in a world of Dr. Seuss with strange flower blossoms bigger than my head! We also had time to walk around the Rock Garden and meander through the Hendrie Gardens. I feel like it's such a close place but we never go there...I am hoping to return for the autumn pumpkin carving extravaganza later in October!
We also had another wedding to attend, which was the final reception to the ceremony I went to in August. I chose an outfit that was not as complicated as my saree from the last one, but just as beautiful and easy enough to move in and eat lots of delicious food. It's been a crazy wedding season, but I still have my little brother's coming up in a few weeks will will close up the season!!

The Raw Carrot
It is officially Soup Season again!
It feels like summer this weekend, but we have had a taste of Fall weather recently and it will be upon us in no time.
For Raw Carrot Soup Sales this year we are taking a different approach:
- We are going the pre-order route.
- Order deadlines will be October 27, December 8, February 20 and April 21.
- Soup will be picked up at the Paris Kitchen and brought back to the Glenbrook freezer the week after the Order deadline.
- Customers will pick up their orders the Sunday following the order deadline days.
- Cash payments can be made at pick up time.
So now begins your opportunity to refresh your memory about what flavours are available and place your order to stock your freezer.

Muffins For Missions
Mark your calendars for the first Muffins for Missions Date - October the 6th - Missions Open House
On that day we will invite you to enjoy your hot drink and muffin in the Hearth Room while perusing posters about the many charitable organizations Glenbrook has a relationship with. There are many needed and deserving places that we all can remember as we donate through our Sunday offering and at special events throughout the year.

Get away from the busyness of everyday life and spend a weekend dedicated to your physical, spiritual and mental wellness within a community of women, immersed in the beauty of Muskoka.
Fall by the Fireside
September 27-29, 2024
Join a group of alumni and families of all ages to spend a weekend outdoors, enjoying a variety of camp favourite activities with some special fall features. Adult-only, child-only, and family programming will be be offered throughout the weekend, so participants can choose to attend programs with friends or as a whole family.
Fall Work Weekend
October 4-6, 2024
Join a dedicated, hard-working team in our labour of love as we complete a variety of work projects around the site. Fall Work Weekend projects will include taking out the docks, packing up program areas, cleaning and putting away the Tuck Shop and the kitchen, and - if the weather cooperates - reshingling a cabin.
Bible Study
If you are interested in joining our Tuesday morning bible study, please sign up with either myself or Pastor Ian! More information regarding the study material will come out closer to the beginning of the course
Christianity Explored
The last few sessions of Christianity Explored will be beginning on Wednesday, October 2nd.
Accommodation Needed
If you or someone you know has any kind of affordable living space for rent, please let me know. We have several folks looking for living accommodation and we'd love to pair them up with someone in need of a roommate or tenant. Thanks!
