Hello and Happy Weekend!

I hope you are all having a lovely week, and enjoying the warm weather and bright sunshine :) I have been a little slack in watering my garden the last week, and it is SHOWING. I cannot believe how fast plants will turn against you ha ha. I did have a few big salads this week with only produce from my garden, which felt awesome. Lettuce, kale, cucumber, tomatoes, peppers, and a little bit of mint. I have a nice spaghetti squash that is about ready to pick, so I need to look at some recipes for that!

This weekend, several folks are heading to Toronto for the Lauren Daigle Concert! I am pretty excited about it. I think she puts on a really good show, and it will be wonderful to spend time with people from Glenbrook worshipping. If you are interested in the music, I have the setlist right here! It is on Apple Music in this link, but you can just take a look at the songs and look them up on YouTube (or if you use a streaming service like Spotify, or Prime)

Happy Birthday Nancy

When you see Nancy this weekend, make sure you wish her a huge happy and blessed birthday. She is hitting a milestone (which I will not share here :P)

Welcome Back Graciela

We want to welcome back our Music Director and friend Graciela this Sunday! We have missed her, and look forward to all of the pictures she took from her trip back home.

BBQ Chicken Dinner - THANK YOU
A HUGE THANK YOU goes out to everyone regarding Wednesdays Chicken BBQ!!!!

From salad chefs who donated their time, cooking knowledge and yummy food, to the many who helped set up and take down, to dish gatherers and washers to most importantly the PEOPLE WHO ATTENDED - your Missions and Outreach Committee thanks you.

In September we will be bringing you a new Mission initiative and the $918.31 raised from the Chicken BBQ 2024 will go a long way to starting this initiative off with a bang.

Take a look at the church website or facebook page to check out our social media pro Caroline's pics of all the fun.

Mississauga's 50th Anniversary

It's Mississauga's 50th! There is a really cool podcast hosted by Heritage Mississauga called "Sauga 50-for-50, which dives deep into the rich history and stories of the community. They've covered a lot of interesting topics like how melting glaciers 10,000 years ago shaped the Credit River, Indigenous Heritage and how practices around the Credit River evolved, and forgotten history of places like Sheridan and Cooksville. You can find the podcast for free on their channel "Heritage Bytes" in any streaming service (Spotify, YouTube, Apple Music, etc.)
