Hello Glenbrook,
As we continue to pass through Lenten season I thought I’d inculde this lovely piece by Wendy Passmore. Have a wonderful weekend and keep well!
A Lent Reflection by Wendy Passmore
Jesus said “Follow Me”
And follow me implies more than a belief in me
He calls for me to leave my net,
from my ways of being which were clearly set.
Follow me that I might know who I am
A beloved person who can just be who I am
For I am who Creator created me to be
To relax and celebrate the beautiful me!
Follow me to the cross where I might learn to forgive all
As Jesus forgave the Romans and religious leaders who caused him to fall
Those who betrayed and misunderstood, he forgave with compassion
So through the power of the spirit, I can forgive in the same fashion
Follow me so that I might be true and real.
With his help do my inner work, with the courage to heal.
To discover what I like and where my passions might lead
In offering these gifts gives me fulfillment indeed
Follow me to the quiet where I might hear his voice
To find a sacred place away from the noise
There I find comfort in the stillness and silence
And with him by my side I can be radically honest
Follow me into the world where there is injustice and pain
For the wounded, the outsider and the broken he came
I am asked to follow him to do the same
To listen to the stories of the poor and the lame
"Believing" is not the way to heaven to prove my worth
But following him as a way of life to help bring heaven to earth
Through the intimate relationship I have with Him.
I am free to be me with the gifts I’ve been given
With help from the spirit I can compassionately forgive
And go into the world with love so that others might live.

Income Tax Preparation and e-Filing
Glenbrook has joined CRA's CVITP (Community Volunteer Income Tax Preparer) program. If you have a simple tax situation and a modest income, we can prepare and e-file your income taxes for free. Seniors, students, and newcomers are all welcome to try this service.
If you do not qualify for CVITP but you would like to prepare your own income tax, we can help navigate tax software, troubleshoot error codes, and set up "My Account" on the CRA website. As of March 24, CRA will no longer accept bank information changes from e-filed tax returns.
