Dear Friends,

It will be good to have Samantha leading the worship service this coming Sunday. We have been praying for Chris (Mike De Jourdan’s dad/ Sam’s fiancé)  who had a terrible bike accident last week. We continue to support Mike and Sam and the rest of their family  as Chris recovers from his injuries.

On Wednesday evening (July 10th) the Pastors and the Representative Elders of nine (9) Presbyterian Churches of Mississauga gathered at Glenbrook . This is the third monthly meeting for this leadership group who meet together and to have a conversation concerning the present and future viability and mission of these congregations in Mississauga. The Presbytery is encouraging all of the congregations within its geographical area to identify opportunities, challenges and consider areas of closer co-operation in ministry and mission, realizing the changing spiritual landscape and financial resources available to existing congregations. Many positive ideas have been shared and it seems that there is a willingness to listen and to seek God’s direction for the future vitality and viability of these Presbyterian congregations.  The next meeting will be August 14th at Glenbrook.

We will beginning the Christianity Explored course here at Glenbrook on Wednesday July 17th @ 7 pm. It is a course that explores the basic beliefs of the Christian faith. Who is Jesus? What are the basic doctrines of Christianity? What is a Christian? and much more. If you are interested please contact the office and I will be glad to welcome you to “Christianity Explored.”

Our new church road sign (Burnhamthorpe Rd) is still waiting permit approval from the City of Mississauga. We will be meeting with with LED Lighting Solutions on the first week of August.

Have a lovely weekend

Pastor Ian
