Hello and happy weekend, Glenbrook!
I hope that your basements are dry, and no one encountered too much flooding this last week. I cannot believe how many people told me their houses were flooding from the insane amounts of rain. Our own nursery at Glenbrook was basically raining from the ceiling this week, and poor Ingrid our EMCC campus administrator basically became a full-time water-catcher.
Something new I've decided to try in the coming weeks is guitar lessons! I took up guitar several years ago (well before COVID) and I had to stop due to being so busy with school and work. Now that I'm only busy with work and private practice, I'm going to try adding guitar lessons back on! I have lost most of my memory of how to play, and it'll take time to develop my callouses back on...but I hope to use these lessons as a time of creative outlet rather than strict practice. Let's see how it goes!
This weekend I will be away at Blue Mountain. I will be with the bridesmaids and family of my future sister-in-law. My little brother Harrison is getting married in a few months, and it has been so great getting closer to my soon to be sister, Laura. Mike will be going in the opposite direction and camping with his friends in Pinery. That said, I look forward to watching the service on Sunday and hope to feel the worship through the screen!
